Canvas Boat Shoe Fashions

It is funny how canvas boat shoes have come back in fashion, I can remember when I was a teenager how the rage was first Dunlop canvas shoes or volleys they were called way back when and in fact were the only type of sport shoes you could get at that time, or thinking back it was my Mother who told me they were the only shoe that was out. I wonder now did she say this because they happen to be cheap! Every Saturday I would get the shoe white out and paint the shoes in order to make them gleaming white for my basketball game.

Years later it was not trendy to say you had a pair of Dunlop’s in your closet, so out they went to then be replaced by the fashionable coloured converse canvas shoes. They were hot and are still worn by today’s generation, but as fashions come and go or maybe I am getting older I have discovered canvas boat shoes.

These boat shoes are a shoe that I could be comfortable to wear to do my shopping, go boating or BBQ’s in; they suit my outdoor lifestyle to a tee. So easy care, as I can throw them into the washing machine if they get dirty. I now have several pairs depending on my mood on the day which ones end up on my feet.
